Welcome to The Drama Hub!

drama hub kids

The Drama Hub offers school-aged children friendly, fun and supportive group drama.

We believe all children have the right to be imaginative and creative with an element of ‘play’, without judgement or being assessed.

We provide an intimate and safe class space that consists of 14 students. This allows more time with each individual; room to move and a relaxed feel to the room rather than overcrowding.

Students will gain life skills that will assist in everyday situations in their classroom; public speaking, social development, team building and even outside of school; personal and professional confidence and positive social behaviour.

Students will also learn to overcome any personal obstacles such as anxiety, shyness and working with a new group of people.

The Drama Hub program focuses on developing:

Public speaking/communication skills

Social and emotional development

Team building and relationship building skills

Personal confidence and self-understanding

Spatial and personal awareness

Problem solving through performances/class activities

Resilience – through role playing

Who We Are

Tamara Bailey

Since graduating Tamara has had TV roles, commercials, a feature film and theatre experience.
She was fortunate enough to travel to Los Angeles on two occasions to study and to gain industry experience in 2008 and 2009.

While pursuing her acting career, Tamara was a volunteer Drama teacher from 2004 – 2010 at Annandale Public School (NSW), which inspired her to return back to study where she was fortunate enough to be accepted into a conversion course in 2010 that would see her graduate with a Bachelor of Performance allowing her to teach Drama which has been her life long goal. Tamara has since completed her Masters of Primary Teaching in 2020.

Tamara relocated to Brisbane in 2011 from Sydney and continued her career as an actor and Drama teacher, however recently Tamara moved to the Bayside where she has taken a leap of faith and created The Drama Hub as there are limited resources in the local area.

With Tamara’s extensive teaching experience along with her acting experience, she has created a syllabus that is fresh, fun and exciting for kids who are just starting out or have been going to Drama classes for some time.
